Pentecostal Wisconsin
Pentecostalism is known as "the religion where they speak in tongues." Wisconsin is known as "the state where they really like cheese." Imagine trying to speak with God on a daily basis. Now imagine trying to do it with a mouth full of cheese.

After selling out shows across Canada and the US, as well as receiving two four-star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, Pentecostal Wisconsin will be presented as part of the Orlando Fringe Festival May 17th - 28th. According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Paulson "hits every requisite note of the ideal one-man show" in Pentecostal Wisconsin. He finds God, falls hard for a sexy Swedish teenager, and leaves his friend Jesus standing at the ticket counter at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport. And throughout it all he entertains with original and heartfelt (though sometimes tongue-firmly-in-cheek) songs in the style of the Pentecostal tradition.

"This categorically pitch-perfect one-man comedy has it all. Don't miss!" Time Out New York

"It's a brave performance - and it's very funny…4 STARS." Canadian Broadcasting Corp.

"…a subtle and witty trip…4 STARS" The List (Edinburgh, UK)

Finalist – Best Production in English, Montreal International Fringe Festival

Pentecostal Wisconsin was written by Paulson and directed and developed by Virginia Scott, whose credits include The Orange Girl at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen and the physical comedy Happy Hour at the Comedy Central Theatre in Los Angeles.
