Starlight: Cabaret for $12, Student Price

Over at Starlight Theater's MySpace Blog you see an exciting deal: $12 for the opening weekend of Cabaret, as in the musical, which is an enourmous savings over the regular price. They also made the deal for a Friday night, when Starlight also does a cabaret night with a full bar after the show. I just want to make sure you understand that this is dinner and a show on a Friday night for only $12. This is for just the show, not dinner.
Show: Cabaret
Venue: Starlight Theater (corner of Edgewater Dr. and Par St., formerly the Mark II)
Show times: Fri Jan 5, 8:00 PM; Doors and dinner start at 6:00PM;
Tickets: $49, $45 Matinee, $12 Student (1/5/06 Only)
Call: 407-843-6275 - info and tickets

I saw Grease there earlier this year and it was a good experience. For some of the songs they had the two leads singing into wireless microphones, and the sound was really muddy. Other than that the show was lots of fun and performed well. The food was really good, this is a gourmet meal and I think the breakdown is about half for the ticket and half for the meal including salad, dessert and wine.

After the show on Fridays and Saturdays, they do the Moonlight Lounge out in the lobby, where the cast and I believe anyone who likes can sing cabaret and have a drink at the bar. Sundays they do a "Sunset" show at 6:30, and Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday have matinees at 1:00 PM at the reduced price.
