This Fringe Festival kicks off this week on Thursday night from 6 to 9 when the Fringe has the opening night party - people will be dressed as hippies with protest buttons and signs. There will be live performances and drinking and good times. I think there are a few official shows that day as well. Friday is the real start of the festival with a few night shows and then HOLY CRAP, two long days of shows and button making at the tent (I did mention the tent, right?), not to mention Pet's Fringe and Kid's Fringe, and the unveiling of the 9th venue.
I am just about finished with the 78/79 shows pages on the shows page - some of the links don't work yet, but there are 26 of these with podcasts attached and about 5 with videos - all have pictures and some text I copied from emails, press releases, myspace pages or websites. One very cool thing is the fact that any show with an official blog has their posts right there on their show page so you can keep up to date just that much faster. Last but not least, you can leave comments on individual shows, especially cool for the shows that don't have web sites or the ability for comments. :)
I'd like to do an OrlandoScene.TV video for this week - If you know anyone that does video editing or owns a digital video camera - I'd love to get in touch with them to find out if they can come out to the festival and do some taping/editing. The video will likely go up on Revver and MySpace and the podcast site. Whoever does it will get credit and links galore, and this is not a one-time offer, I'm always looking for good video people.
So much more to say, but work is calling me back. See you this weekend!
