I loved when he forgot the name of the Broadway musical he said he'd been in and had to consult with Jim as to whether it was called "Adults" or "Grownup."
"Momma, I'm hungry..." made my cry from laughing so hard. The title of this post, a line from Thursday's show, did the same.
Wish I could have attended Saturday's "I.C." but it was sold out! And for good reason. This show's ready for the whole damn circuit.
Congrats Mark on winning the Blue Venue! The Green Venue has also been announced. Surprisingly enough, it went to Life: The Evolution of Man (Abridged). ???
Thank you for the shout outs Ryan. You've also done a great job of introducing new concepts to a festival that will surely appreciate and learn from them.
I'd love to have a roundtable with you and a few others (Brian Feldman, your co-host for Crapface, other marketing/creative folk) and record a podcast on what the future of Fringe could look like: marketing shows, marketing fringe, and my personal crusade "the end of flyers." LOL. That might be some good audio and something to share with others.
Wilson is completely adorable! He's everywhere at the Fringe, and if (somehow) you haven't talked to him yet, you should. I love that he exists, and is here, trying to bring something different and important to the Fringe. He believes so STRONGLY in what he does and his show's message. Like he was telling me, shows full of naked people are great and all, but we are at war right now. People need to start thinking more about these issues....And on top of all of that, he's the biggest sweetheart! You just want to pick him up and smuggle him out of the Shakespeare Festival in your pocket... Well, at least I do.
I should add that this guy is also doing Fringe reviews, and he has seen about 20 shows. His main site seems to be littered with reviews, if one can use the statement literaly, anyway. I guess we're not much better, but he is just so damned casual about it - and we are pretentious. We can't get too casual!
Ken Nordine is definitely credited in our program-actually, Mr. Nordine and his "Colors" album are the first credit after our artistic director. We love Ken Nordine!!! Please come to the show and you'll see it in print:)
And to my friend who pretentiously stated "I don't do improv singing", BOLLOCKS! This is in a different class than any improv singing I have seen, because it tells a story, there is a talented guy doing it - he knows the machanics of music and how to use them well. There are no pre-made beats, chords or rhythms here, just music.

I Seriously missed this show.
July 15th? Do I have to mark my calendar? Hrrmrmmmmm?
The link for this review does not work!
And thank you! The Fringe is over, but I'm still enjoying the reviews I'm reading here.
"Giggle-licious" should go on all future posters for future productions of "Sport."
And yes, there SHOULD MOST DEFINITELY be future productions* of "Sport." Ghostlight Theatre Ensemble, bring it back for your 2006-2007 season!
*at least one
"Oens" is without a doubt the most pure performance art piece of this year

Was Green Venue the weakest, and by weakest I mean the farthest, of Orlando Fringe
Ok I made some changes to the meeting description. Email me some names of people you'd like to include and I'll do the same.
Mark

Hmmm... a "panel of experts" as it were.
How about, Thursday, June 15th at Stardust Video and Coffee? Say, 7PM? (:D)

I loved his show, and I loved hearing him talk about the show. Thank you Ryan for bringing this Fringe-y goodness to us!
Well... since I "did" make an appointment to listen to this particular podcast, you are actually correct on both accounts!
Now then, where's that Blogging Fringe article/review/anything? Hmmm? Hopefully before you've started/finished writing this so-called show of yours?
Do you mean date or appointment?
I found the interview to be very enlightening and am now inspired to write my own show.
Great interview, Ryan!
Best Blogging Fringe Podcast to date!

And all that to a full house! I am betting he will be the Venue Favorite, though I have only seen one other Blue Venue show.
